Friends North Gosforth Chapel

A Friends group was formed last year to try to enhance and protect the site of a medieval chapel and to make it known to a wider public. There is no graveyard as such, just memorial slabs dating back to the 17th century and coffin lids possibly the 13th century.
We have produced an informative leaflet and are in the process of designing and erecting an information board. Local councillors and local authority staff have been most supportive.
